Bring out the wool socks and toques, it's gonna get chillier at the end of the week.

It's great to see the children so into a chapter book. They were eager to listen to Chapter 10 of The Chocolate Touch as we near the end of completing it. After the reading, the students played TAG and helped to edit each other's expository essay. To end Language Arts/Reading class, we used adjectives to compare 3 or more objects.

Just before lunch the students wrote a quiz in Social Studies.

After lunch was Math. Mr. Sandlian took some minutes to explain things going on in Music. Please see his note at the bottom of this posting. During Math we divided models to make equal groups.

Science was the last period of the day. The students began working on promoting conservation by designing a poster with a partner on recycling, reducing, and reusing.

HOMEWORK:
1) LA - expository essay - good copy is due on Friday. Please refer to your classmates suggestions, and also proofread your own work before writing your good copy. You still have work to do, please take the time to check your essay.   You have been emailed a document (check your gmail) you can type your essay in, or you can write your essay in your notebook if you wish. Please do not change the size of the font, but you can change the style if you want.

2) Math booklet p. 155
3) Math quiz - please read the directions carefully, and complete your quiz, or make the necessary corrections.
